The Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a joint tenure-stream appointment in the Department of Computer Science (51%) and the School of the Environment (49%) in the area of Sustainability and Climate Informatics. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2019.

The aim of this message is to advertise two postdoctoral position at ENS de Lyon, France, at the interfaces between climate dynamics, statistical physics, machine learning and data sciences. Could you please circulate this message to potentially interested colleagues.

For the first position, the project will use machine learning approaches, in relation with rare event algorithms, in order to study climate dynamics variability and climate extremes.
