Obstacles and tips for interdisciplinary collaboration

Which obstacles have you encountered while pursuing CI-related research?

Examples could include:
1) Finding collaborators.
2) During collaboration: different vocabulary, publication culture, etc.
3) Publications - finding the right venue to publish your work (especially if you are on the data analysis end and want to publish within your discipline)
4) Finding funding
5) Getting promoted, or finding a job, if your work is highly interdisciplinary.

First question for discussion: Any feedback for this new site ?
